A medium size, low heat chilli that sits at 2,500 to 8,000 on the Scoville Heat Scale. The Jalapeno Chilli can be harvested green in colour or left until red to give a sweeter taste. A great all round chilli for many dishes including the classic Jalapeno Popper. Originating from Mexico, did you know in 1982 the Jalapeno Chilli went into space on the space shuttle Columbia, now that’s literally taking this Chilli to new heights!

Growing Tips:
Start seeds in a warm sunny location and keep soil moist. Wait until plants have reached 10cm in height and frosts have passed before moving to a warm sunny location in the veggie patch.
