Beetroot - Early Wonder

A red/purple bulb with the colour continuing into the stems before fading to a green leaf. Both the bulbs and the leaves are edible, try mixing the leaves into a fresh salad, or cook similary to spinach. A relatively quick maturing variety, bulbs can be ready for harvest within 60 days, or harvest earlier for some baby beets.

Growing Tips:
Plant either direct or in punnets. Grow in loose, fluffy soil free from stones to help with smoother, rounder bulbs. Soaking seeds in warm water over night before planting can assist in germination although not a necessity. If harvesting leaves, ensure to leave some intact on the plant to allow the plant to create energy for bulb growth.
