If you like things hot then this is the chilli for you. Ranging between 800,000 and 1,200,000 on the Scovile heat scale, eat these chillies at your own risk. Originating from India centuries ago, reports have it that it has been used smeared on fences to deter elephants. Although elephants are generally not a problem facing Aussie gardeners, this chilli still has some great uses including hot chilli sauces and curries.

Growing Tips:
Start seeds in a warm sunny lcoation and keep soil moist. Wait until plants have reached 10cm in height and frosts have passed before moving to a warm sunny location in the veggie patch. If in an area that gets some wind, utilising some small stakes to support the plant can be benefical.
