A thicked green leaf, perennial native spinach that will creep along the ground. The leaves are rich in oxalates so are better blanched or cooked before eating. Also native to New Zealand and is sometimes know as New Zealand Spinach.

    Being a Native Australian plant it is quite resilient and hardy and will grow in poor soils. Plants spread out up to 2m and self seed easily, so be mindful when planting out into the garden. Harvest leaves regulary as required to help maintain plant size while encouraging new growth.
